RPMM – Electronic Music Festival Oporto

The first edition of the RPMM Global will take place in Oporto, more precisely in the Alfândega building, between the 28th and the 29th July 2018. This is an electronic music event that will feature more than 50 talented local and international artists. Some of the names you can listen to in this festival are: Jackmaster, Matthew Dear, Damian Lazarus, Matthias Tanzmann, Matt Tolfrey, Jasper James and Âme or the Portuguese Rui Vargas, Pixel 82, SuM and Heartbreakerz.

The main event will take place in Alfândega building between 12h00 and 24h00 on Saturday and Sunday. Ticket prices range from 45 to 170 euros.

“Night Run” – Oporto 2018

The Park Night Run will take place in Oporto on the 28th July 2018. The 8km run will start at 21h30 from Queimódromo (Parque da Cidade). The event is free, so everyone can participate. In order to do so, please enroll online in this link leading to a website Portuguese (maintained by RunPorto and translation required). Afterwards, you need to pick up the run kit from Queimódromo in the following dates:

  • 27th July – between 10h00 and 19h00
  • 28th July – between 10h00 and 20h00

The 2018 edition of the Portucale Race will take place in Oporto on the 15th July 2018. This race starts at 9h15 / 10h00 in Ribeira de Gaia and features three different events:

  • A 15 km race
  • A 5 km walk
  • A 0,5 km free children walk

This race will be mostly happening in the Douro river bank and therefore offers breathtaking landscapes to participants. Clearly, an opportunity to improve your fitness and see some of the most typical areas and neighbourhoods of Oporto!!

Meo Marés Vivas 2018 Festival

The Meo Marés Vivas 2018 Festival will take place in Vila Nova de Gaia (just across the river from Oporto) between the 20th and 22nd July 2018. This is the 12th edition of the festival and this year several big names will be playing live in 5 different stages. Among some of the artists featured in this event, we can find names like Jamoriquai, Goo Goo Dolls, Richie Campbell, Manel Cruz, Kodaline, David Guetta, Carolina Deslandes and The Black Mamba.

The event will take place in the “Antiga Seca do Bacalhau” and the pricing is the following:

  • 35 euros – one day ticket
  • 65 euros – all included ticket
  • 150 euros – VIP ticket

International Circus Festival – Oporto

The Oporto International Circus Festival will take place between the 13th and 16th September in Oporto. This festival will have the participation of the 12 circus companies from different countries and is planning to deliver around 40 events. Most of the events will happen indoors, in Coliseu Ageas, but some will also take place in nearby streets or plazas, such as, Largo de Santo Ildefonso, Praça da Batalha, Praça dos Poveiros and Jardim São Lázaro. All the events will be free, meaning that you just need to select the ones you are interested on.

Serralves em Festa – 2018

The 15th edition of Serralves em Festa will take place between the 1st and 3rd June 2018 in Oporto. As it is usual, there will be non-stop activities for all age groups, not only in the garden, farm and museum of Serralves, but also in other areas of Oporto. Considered as one of the most significant cultural events in Europe, it managed to attract more than 224 000 people last year.

In terms of music, some of the names that will be around are 23 Skidoo, Orelha Negra, Hailu Mergia, Sandro Mussida, among other. In terms of dance, some of the most well-know names are Mathilde Monnier, Cirque Inextremiste, Compagnie Basinga e Companhia Nacera Belaza.
