Serralves em Festa – 2018

The 15th edition of Serralves em Festa will take place between the 1st and 3rd June 2018 in Oporto. As it is usual, there will be non-stop activities for all age groups, not only in the garden, farm and museum of Serralves, but also in other areas of Oporto. Considered as one of the most significant cultural events in Europe, it managed to attract more than 224 000 people last year.

In terms of music, some of the names that will be around are 23 Skidoo, Orelha Negra, Hailu Mergia, Sandro Mussida, among other. In terms of dance, some of the most well-know names are Mathilde Monnier, Cirque Inextremiste, Compagnie Basinga e Companhia Nacera Belaza.

New Ryanair route: Oporto – Seville

Ryanair announced another route between Oporto and Spain. This is another clear improvement in direct connections to Spain, bringing together Portuguese and Spanish workers and tourists.

From October 2018, there should be three weekly flights between these big cities. According to a press note, tickets are expected to be available for purchase from March.

This just shows that Oporto is becoming a more popular destination all over Europe and that more new routes from other carriers should be unveiled soon!!
