New Tourist Information Desk

A new tourist information desk is now available in Santa Catarina, at the entrance of FNAC building. This new desk comes out of a partnership between the Oporto City Council and the Oporto Association of Tourism. The main purpose of this new desk is to enlarge the offer of several products, maps and information that can help tourists to better enjoy Oporto.

This a temporary desk that will be open until the 15th September, with the following schedules:

10h00 to 21h00 – Monday to Saturday
11h00 to 20h00 – Sundays

For those staying at the Oporto Sunset Blue Balcony flat, this is clearly a very valuable resource, as it is located nearby (8 to 10 minutes walk)!!

In order to match the growing requirements of families travelling to Oporto, we decided to add another double sofa bed to the living room at the Oporto Sunset Blue Balcony. To keep the quality standards of the furniture and decoration already in place, the choice fell upon a Brimnes sofa bed model from Ikea, that can be used as a single or a double bed. It is clearly a convenient sofa that can be used as a comfortable bench to have meals by the dining table or as an independent bed. The choices is yours!!

One of the stages of the Portugal Rally will take place in Oporto during 2018. At the moment, the Oporto council and the promoters of the rally are still trying to figure out which is the best area to create a successful street stage! So far, there is some consensus around the Clérigos area, as the right location for a spectacular street stage, however, further studies are still needed to get to the optimum solution.

One thing is for sure, the Rally will be back to Oporto somewhere between the 17th and 20th May 2018, so if you happen to be around during the Street Stage, you will have an opportunity of a lifetime to see some of the best drivers and machines shredding tarmac downtown!!

The WESS (World Enduro Super Series) starts its 2018 edition in Oporto on the 11th May. The Oporto event will last for 3 days and it will be a great opportunity some of the best racers and teams. In 2018, the super series will join for the first time all the Enduro versions, including Hard Enduro, Classic Enduro, Cross Country and Beach Racing. In 2017, Oporto hosted one round of the Enduro Super Series and more than 20000 people watched the event. In 2018, expectations are even higher.
