Blues Festival at Oporto – February 2018

The 5th edition of the Atlantic Blues Festival will take place in Casa da Música between the 1st and the 4th February 2018. This event is organized by the Swing Station dance school and should bring to Oporto lots of dancers and musicians from different countries.

The festival programme includes dancing workshops with different levels of specialization and is lectured by professors coming from several countries: Alba Mengual (Spain) and Gastón Fernandez (Argentina/Spain), Vicci Moore (England) and Adamo Ciarallo (Italy/England), Eva Azevedo (Portugal) and Piny Orchidaceae (Portugal).

Japanese Kiosk – Oporto

The Japanese Kiosk is now fully renovated, should be assembled by the end of this week and should be back in normal business in less than a month, in the Mompilher plaza in Oporto. For approximately 100 years, this kiosk has been part of the typical Oporto landscape in the corner of Picaria and Dr. Ricardo Jorge streets. It is an unique point of interest that has been completely burned down in the 2014, but is now back to its old glory, so it deserves a visit and closer look!!

The 15th edition of the Wine Essence festival will take place in “Palácio da Bolsa” – Oporto between the 22nd and 25th February 2018. Portugal Rally – Oporto 2018

One of the stages of the Portugal Rally will take place in Oporto during 2018. At the moment, the Oporto council and the promoters of the rally are still trying to figure out which is the best area to create a successful street stage!
