The “World of Steve McCurry” photo exhibit is going to be in Oporto until the end of the year. This exhibition includes 200 photos of the famous american photographer and covers different national scenarios: Cuba, India, Brazil, Italy and USA. Among some of the pictures displayed in the exhibit, there are famous shots alongside with some unpublished work, namely from his first report in Afghanistan.
Steve McCurry has won several international prizes, one as Magazine Photographer of the Year and two World Press Photos, besides several other special awards. Most of his work has been reports scenarios of war, violence or natural disasters.
If you are into Steve McCurry’s work or if you like seeing good photos, you can go to “Alfândega do Porto” anytime between the 10th of October and 30th of December to watch this exhibit. Definitely worth a visit!!
